Shannon's Bridal Portraits

I'm going to have to say that this session was my absolute favorite and best session to date. Now there are a lot of factors that contribute to this statement. First, my new Canon 5d Mark II made all the difference in the world. Second, location, location, location, and what an amazing location it was! Seriously, a photographers dream place to take pictures. Also, the bride. She was willing to do anything, and she totally rocked the shoot. It wouldn't have been nearly as amazing without her and her awesome maid of honor who came along to help. We also can't forget the groom Andrew, who drove us there and had to wait (a long time) while we played in the fields, treated us to Bojangles and drove us home. Also, he took all the equipment (and ottoman) to where we needed it. Oh and hacked down a vicious plant that would have been blocking the way of pictures.

Prepare yourself for some awesomeness and my best work ever :)

We took these photos on Andrew's parents 120 (or so) acre farm. This is an old tobacco barn.

I love the blue shoes! Note to future brides, consider colored shoes, they rock!

And the ottoman I was talking about :)

A lot of people don't realize how hard it is being a model. Some poses you have to hold a while and its definitely not comfortable or easy! Shannon was awesome!

I love the light in her hair, the expression on her face, her pose, its perfection!

We scored big time with this truck, even though the owners brother was a bit wary of us shooting around it...

I know what you are thinking... white dress, rusty truck...I assure you no dresses were harmed in the making of these photos!

Jon and Kristin's Engagements

I got to explore the Queens University of Charlotte campus a bit with Jon and Kristin last Wednesday. I love living in North Carolina, it gets warmer so much earlier here and it was a beautiful day :) Also the green is really starting to come back big time! Jon and Kristin are such a sweet couple and I could tell by just spending the day with them, that they are so meant for each other. I can't wait until their wedding in May. It sounds like its going to be an awesome event!
